The Gatehouse acts as a refuge for the homeless and vulnerably housed of Oxford, where the scourge of homelessness is more conspicuous than anywhere else I have been in the UK. I have been volunteering there on and off since Christmas, but decided I wanted to do a little bit more. So I have decided to do the thing I hate most in the entire world - running! I am now aiming to run in the Hackney half marathon in May 2020. I am aiming to do the half in under 2 hours. Wish me luck..
