Excuse the cliche but our family was knocked for six after a cancer diagnosis last summer. We fancied the challenge of a half marathon to help give back to two amazing charities which offer support to families such as ours. It's a massive challenge for both of us - Hat's recently had a baby and I've recently had way too many beers and takeaways.

Multiple Myeloma is a lesser known blood cancer, with a wide range of symptoms. Whilst there is no cure, there are a number of very effective treatments which are improving all the time. Macmillian & Myeloma UK do a loads of important work supporting patients, funding even more new treatments and working with governments to improve cancer care!
