We exist to change the lives of young people. There are thousands of young people who are passionate about football but are not fulfilling their potential at school. We provide long-term, intensive support, built around relationships and young people’s passions, in the classroom and beyond.

Story

Football Beyond Borders (FBB) works with young people who are disengaged with their education. We take a young person's passion for football and place it at the heart of their education. It costs £400 for a participant to complete a full year of the FBB Schools programme. This includes at least 70 hours of football-themed learning in the classroom and on the pitch using our FBB Curriculum, as well as 6 remarkable reward trips. In the current funding climate, schools are increasingly struggling to pay the full cost of the programme.

The young people I have met from FBB programmes have a renewed sense of self belief, joy and focus. If we can give young people motivation, confidence, a safe space to express themselves and learn, a community to feel a part of, then maybe we can go some way to cutting down young suicide, knife crime, drug abuse and many other resulting endemics.

In 2016/17, FBB school groups saw 31% fewer incidents of bad behaviour, a 48% improvement in Teacher Assessed Attitude to Learning and an average attendance rate of 95.4%.
26 Miles is a long way - help me run and enable more young people to benefit!
