Story
Thanks for visiting our fundraising page.
In April 2011, staff, pupils and parents from Westbury-on-Trym School and Elmfield School for the Deaf are trekking to Singdi in Nepal.
The purpose of the trip is to continue links between the schools that were initially set up a decade ago, donating monies raised this year to further help provide educational resources for the children in this remote area. We will also be officially opening the two classroom room extension to their school, built solely with the money we raised in 2009.
Please note that none of the money raised will be used towards funding the travelling arrangements for people from Westbury on Trym.
We have a target this year of £9000 and with this money, if achieved, we hope to provide both Singdi and the Deaf School in Pokhara with Books and other esssential learning materials, thus fulfilling our motto "Providing Opportunities, Building Friendships".
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor : The Pahar Trust Nepal gets your money faster and if you’re a UK taxpayer, JustGiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Between now and our Nepal Trek we will be completing various fundraising activities with all the details and photographs will be available on this web page.
So please sponsor us now!
