Story
On 22nd April, we will be doing an 11 day trek, Annapurna Basecamp Trek, (which is the equivalent of 3 and a half marathons) in support of Maiti Nepal.
Anyone who knows us, will know that Vic is an experienced walker, while Eloise’s walking boots still have the tag on and are yet to be broken in. Don’t worry though, Vics made it very clear that she will complete it, even if it means she loses Eloise on the way.
Human trafficking is the fastest growing industry in the world. Over 10,000 women and girls are trafficked from Nepal into India alone each year, with this being the busiest human trafficking route. This is just one of the reasons why we’ve chosen to support Maiti Nepal.
Maiti Nepal have helped intercept 40,000 women from being involved in the sex trade. As women ourselves, this is something that we feel very strongly about and would love to support in any way that we can.
Once we’ve finish our trek, we will be able to visit Maiti’s rehabilitation facilities to see where the money that you have donated goes. The work that they do is inspiring and vital in the protection of women and girls. Thank you in advance for your donations.
