Story
Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a life-limiting genetic condition affecting more than 10,000 people across the UK. It affects the lungs and digestive system and can cause chronic infections and reduced lung function. Currently, half of those with CF will not live past age 41.The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is fighting for a brighter future for people with CF and their families by funding cutting-edge research, driving up standards of care and supporting people with the condition and their loved ones every step of the way.
My daughter was diagnosed when she was 3 weeks old after we received the results from the heel prick test and to say we were devastated would be an understatement.
Luckily, she has been very lucky so far and has minimal issues with her lungs and some with her digestive system. As you may or may not be aware, CF is a progressive condition and will get worse over time, many people with CF will not live to see their 40th birthday. I hope to raise money which will contribute to finding a cure.
It has been a challenge adjusting to parent life along with all of the everyday medical needs that she requires to keep her healthy. I am organising an event to raise money for a charity very very close to my heart, Cystic Fibrosis Trust.
I am looking for some amazing people who would be willing to donate anything that can be used in a raffle at the event💛
Anything is appreciated & All are welcome once a date has been set.
If anyone has anything or knows of anyone willing to get involved please comment below or message me privately.
Thank you so much.
