This year, the team here at Elsby & Co have chosen to help raise money for Cynthia Spencer Hospice. They have been a valued client for a couple of years now and we thought what better way to show our support than to get involved in fundraising for the amazing work that they do. 

If you don't already know about the great work that they do, Cynthia Spencer Hospice is a charity that provides specialist care for those in South Northamptonshire. They also have a sister hospice, Cransley, which provides very similar services for the North of the county. Cynthia Spencer hospice provides inpatient and outpatient services to support those in palliative care. They provide a holistic and individualised approach in a safe and caring environment, to give exceptional specialist palliative care to patients and families with life-limiting illnesses - supporting them to live their lives, with dignity, kindness and compassion.

Cynthia Spencer offers specialist physical, psychological, social and spiritual care for those with life-limiting illnesses and focuses on their patients quality of life. Their service is jointly funded by the Cynthia Spencer Hospice Charity & Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. The cost of running the hospice is over '£2.4 million' and a huge part of that comes from the support provided by generous local companies and individuals throughout the county, and they would not be able to provide the support that they do without it. They are dependent on these funds raised by supporters and therefore, here at Elsby & Co we wanted to make sure that we were contributing towards such an important cause. 

This year the Hospice needs to raise £1,060,000. That is £3,000 per day to continue all the services that they provide in Northampton and across Northamptonshire and to enable them to continue and improve.

Cynthia Spencer hosts great events to raise money, such as their Colour Run, which we hope to get as many staff members here at Elsby involved in! Why not get involved too!
