Elva Holiday Smith

In the short time Elva was in our lives, she brought us more happiness than we ever thought possible. She was just beginning to show us her personality - quiet, happy but not easily impressed. She took everything in her stride - never fazed by her big brother driving race cars over her or getting nose to nose to talk to her.

She loved to be cuddled, splash in the bath and dance along with all of us to songs after dinner. She was the most ticklish baby ever and when she laughed she laughed with her whole body. Her smile would take over her face, her eyes were so brown they were almost black yet they sparkled so brightly and her legs would kick with excitement. Her giggle was infectious.

Our family is incomplete without her and she has left a space that will never be filled. We will never forget our beautiful baby girl and the joy and love she brought to us.

We request family flowers only but you may wish to make a donation in Elva's name to The Lullaby Trust.

As well as supporting families who find themselves in the devastating position of having lost a child, they also fund research into the possible causes of SIDS (which at the moment, are unknown) and spread awareness of the risk factors to try and prevent other families having to go through this pain.
