Story
just 3 pals who thought they would switch procrastinating writing holiday essays, conquering their reading lists and proving the riemann hypothesis to instead avoiding training for a half marathon, swapping cringey playlists and indulging in one another's panicky 'what have we agreed to' moments. but our panic and pain in training is nothing--and this cannot be emphasised enough--nothing in comparison to what the homeless men and women of Oxford will face this coming winter. if you are a local, you will know just how biting the cold winter months in Oxford can be. for this reason, Em, Jo and Maud have decided to run through the streets of Oxford- which have become the makeshift, comfortless beds for too many human beings when night falls, to raise awareness and hopefully some money for OXPAT. run totally by volunteers, most of the income of this charity is fuelled by public donations which filter through to organisations providing shelter, food, medical attention, day centres and advice to those who would otherwise not have access to these facilities. we know it is very late in the game to share this and ask for your donations but any awareness or funds that we can bring to such an important cause will make a world of difference to those on our local streets. and let's face it, we didn't exactly get off to a flying start to any training schedule either, so it's just really a continuation vibe all round. so if you could spare any loose change or forgo your second spenny coffee of the day and offer it in this direction ^^^ it would be thoroughly, thoroughly appreciated. peace and see u next sunday
