Story

Hello, and thank you for visiting my page!

You will no doubt be here because you have heard I am running the London Marathon in support of Embrace the Middle East.

Having run a marathon in 2013, I am fully aware of the pain and suffering to which I have agreed and hope that you consider my agreement to put myself through it again a reflection of how worthwhile I consider Embrace the Middle East's work to be.

I've been volunteering for Embrace the Middle East since 2012 and have had the pleasure of representing them a number of times at Greenbelt Festival, discussing their work with members of the public.

Embrace support vital projects in the Middle East which truly transform the lives of vulnerable and marginalised people in Israel, Palestine, Lebanon, Egypt and Syria. They are an incredibly passionate and inspiring team doing very valuable work and I couldn't be happier to support them.

Any donations are very, very gratefully received. They are going to a truly worthwhile cause.

I will be documenting the ups and downs of my training on my Facebook page, so do follow along here: https://www.facebook.com/davidjamesarmstrong

Thank you so much for your support, and I can only hope that my knees will forgive me!
