EMEA Equities Citizenship Fundraising · 31 December 2017

Cardboard Citizens is a theatre company that aims to change the lives of homeless people using performing arts. We develop and support people affected by homelessness with personal development, building confidence, social skills, all within a safe and friendly community.

Story

In addition to investing time and expertise in improving the skills of young and disadvantaged individuals through our Citizenship Agenda, all proceeds raised during EMEA Equities HCP Social Events will be donated to one of our partner charities, Cardboard Citizens, to fund dedicated accredited training opportunities for their members.  These include PEARL (Personal Employability Acheivement and Reflection for Learning), Peer Mentoring, Arts Award and Entry Level 3 English.

On Friday 8th December, we will be conducting a Charity bake sale to raise money for this excellent cause.  Employees will be bringing in homemade cakes for sale on the Equities trade floor, we will be walking the floor between 11am-2pm to sell the cakes and ask for donations.  Please donate what you can, no matter how small an amount this may seem.

Cardboard Citizens changes the lives of homeless and displaced people through Theatre.  It is a creative hub for excluded people, providing workshops, training and support for homeless, ex-homeless and at risk people grow confidence and skills - and lead to longer term progression away from homelessness.

Thank you
