The funds raised will be used for 2 new projects  at ICCM over the next 12 months:

 ·         To set up weekly support for older Irish people in the city who have dementia, a cruel illness that affects many of our people and leaves families struggling to manage.

 

·         To support people who are ‘on the edge’ for a range of reasons i.e. poverty (increasingly an issue with all the current changes to welfare reform, poor health, loneliness, family estrangement, substance dependency etc.) to take part in local activities and events e.g. Rice Lane Farm, Reading groups and drumming up sessions), improving health and sense of belonging in the city.
