The country is in mourning of a hero tonight (02/02/21); a strong but gentle man who spent the last year of his life giving us light during very dark times. Captain Sir Tom Moore was the absolute best of Britain and a selfless, inspiring individual.

I would like to honour his memory by taking part in an event to climb (and descend) Snowdon overnight in June...I appreciate this does not reflect the magnitude of Captain Tom's work and achievements but I hope it goes some way in helping to continue his fundraising efforts.

I have chosen to raise money for The Captain Tom Foundation which was established in May 2020, with Captain Tom and his family identifying four causes they wished for it to support:

💫 combating loneliness
💫 supporting those facing bereavement
💫 championing education and equality
💫 supporting our friends overseas

The Foundation's charity partners for 2020 are the Royal British Legion, Mind, Helen & Douglas House Hospice and Willen Hospice. 2021 partners will be identified later this year.
