I'm a Trustee for Little Green Pig, an incredible charity who run creative writing projects with young people in and around Brighton to develop writing and communication skills, and grow their self-esteem and confidence. They particularly support children and young people facing challenging circumstances such as migrant and refugee families, looked-after children and children living with mental health challenges or disabilities. They focus on communities where poverty also adds to these circumstances and there isn't much else in the way of support.

It's pretty amazing and an example of why I want to raise money to help support more work and young people to be as creative and brilliant as this! 

Winter Warmth by Sonny, year 10 

You reach out your hand, now tell me, 
What do you feel? 
A sense of warmth you can wrap your palm into. 

A cup of tea or family? 
They're both the same if you ask me. 
Warms you up to lay your hand on the mug.
Or a hand or body to hug, to keep you snug. 

They're easy to digest, almost a comfort food 
To set the mood for snowy days 
when in the morning you see the moon 
They're cheap and last you for years 
From the moment you shed your first and last tear
