I am taking on this unique Alpine Challenge hiking 2 peaks, in 2 days, across 2 countries (Switzerland and France), having reached altitudes over twice the height of Ben Nevis. Every day 3 people in the UK are paralysed due to spinal cord injury. Spinal Research is the UK's leading charity funding medical research around the world to develop effective treatments.

I'm lucky enough to work in a lab as a scientist, on a project funded by Spinal Research, which aims to develop a promising preclinical strategy to promote new growth and connectivity of nerve fibres, to restore function following traumatic spinal cord injury.
