Brighton Half Marathon 2014 · 16 February 2014 ·

Chestnut Tree House is the children’s hospice for East Sussex, West Sussex, Brighton and Hove and South East Hampshire, caring for 300 children and young adults from 0-19 years of age, both at the hospice and in families’ own homes.

Story

The time has come for me to, yet again, dust off my trainers and start training for the Brighton Half Marathon in February 2014. I have never ran more than 10K, and have enjoyed a big summer 'off', so this is a big challenge for me.

Along with my training partner, James Burton (who is coming out of retirement to help me train!), I am hoping to complete the run, and in doing so, raise money for Chesnut Tree House. They are a Sussex-based charity offering Children's Hospice Care, who offerred invaluable support for friends of mine when they lost their newborn  son, Finlay, last year. I ran for the charity last September and raised £230 for them and so am hoping to raise even more this time.

Please help me reach my target, any amount can make a huge difference - can you skip a morning coffee, walk to work or make a packed lunch, and then donate the saving instead?

Thank you!

Em xx
