London Marathon 2021 · 3 October 2021 ·
If you’re on my page well then thank you for taking the time to pop by and read my story.
Last year I was due to run the London Marathon along with thousands of others but COVID happened and it was postponed... I’m taking the leap and I’m saying yes to running it in October 2021!
The last year has been incredibly difficult and I along with many others have faced lots of challenges!
My mum suffered with MS for a very long time, she had good & bad days. On the 25th December 2020 my mum had a stroke which broke our hearts, Christmas is meant to be a time of happiness & yet it was not, we couldn’t see or be with her. Mum came home the day before New Year’s Eve, things had changed and we then found out that Mum had been diagnosed with liver cancer. Things rapidly got worse in a matter of weeks, we all just wanted to make things better for her & make her feel better. After weeks of constant tablets & in constant pain, Mum was taken to hospital on the 20th January, we did not know that this would the last time we saw her. On the early hours of the 21st January we had got the call to say Mum had gone. She grew her angel wings. She fought to the very end, we just wish she didn’t have to do it alone
What a woman my Mum was, I know everyone says that about their Mum right .. but my Mum she was my best friend, she always will be.. My mum was so beautiful, strong, caring, stubborn & so courageous. She is my inspiration every single day!
So here goes.. I am going to run this marathon, not for me or anyone else but for my Mum & to raise as much money as I can for the MS Trust to help other people suffering with MS like my Mum did. .
She may not be on this journey with me physically but I know she’s always will me & I’m hoping to make her so proud …
And so there you have it, with all the strength and willpower I have,I will run, walk, crawl, be dragged to the finish line if I have to do this Marathon!
So please donate if you can! Money raised is going to the MS Trust! !
