Story
This year I have chosen to take on two challenges for Smile4Wessex.
1) Running the Bristol 10km
2) Walking 30km of the Cotswold Way
I don't think anyone, myself included would believe me even 5 months ago if I had said I would be running 10km. Having only started the couch to 5k training program in January 2023, I ran my first 5k in the summer. I've only just passed 6km for the first time in the second week of January 2024 so I have a lot of work to do before the run in May! I have even downloaded a training plan to keep me on track - seriously what has happened to me!
Walking is a bit more in my wheelhouse, but 30km (just under 19 miles) is a REALLY long way! I am very comfortable hitting the 10 mile mark but this will be nearly double with 1000 meters of elevation.
The cause is such a worthwhile one and I am looking forward to these challenges, the first in May and second in June.
Any donations to support me on these challenges would be amazing.
