Arran Road trip · 31 July 2021

Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance is Scotland’s only charity-funded air ambulance service. We rely on public support to keep flying and responding to time-critical emergencies wherever they occur in Scotland. No one in Scotland should die because help can't get there in time.

Story

2021 marks a milestone for R Davidson & Sons Ltd as they reach 100 years of being in the haulage business. To celebrate the occasion Bobby and Billy Davidson, along with a few friends, plan to drive their restored classic Commer lorry and Riley Elf car around Arran. Once on Arran they will visit Lochranza Distillery and also collect 6 sheep to bring home to be sold at Dumfries Livestock market. Proceeds from this sale will also go to charity.  The Air Ambulance saved the life of Bobby's grandson, Lewis, in 2015 and will always be a charity that the family holds close to their hearts.

Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance is Scotland’s only charity-funded air ambulance service. They rely on public support to keep flying and responding to time-critical emergencies wherever they occur in Scotland. From their bases in Perth and Aberdeen they can reach 90% of Scotland’s population within 25 minutes, providing a vital lifeline to communities all over the country. Their mission is to deliver more care, more quickly, to more people across Scotland - but they can only keep flying and saving lives with your support.
