Ronald McDonald House Charities Skydive Weekend
Campaign by Ronald McDonald House Charities (RCN England and Wales (802047), Scotland (SC040717))
When the best medical care isn't close to home, a Ronald McDonald House keeps families together. We're running our first ever weekend of skydiving to help support Ronald McDonald House Charities UK.

Story

Ronald McDonald House Charities UK provides free accommodation and support for families with children in hospital. When the best medical care isn't close to home, a Ronald McDonald House keeps families together. Just £25 can help support a family for one night. Your donation will make the world of difference to families in need.

I have always wanted to do a skydive and when my friend Liane asked for someone to jump with her it was the ideal opportunity to fulfil a goal and raise money for an amazing charity at the same time.  This is her story in her own words ....

Ronald McDonald Evelina House supported myself and my family when our daughter was born with a congenital heart defect.  We will always be truly grateful for all the help and support we received during the 3 stays, especially during the surgery admission.

It's a stressful and emotional time for any parent to go through a childs illness but to be miles away from home, family and friends makes this all the more difficult.  Ronald McDonald House opened their doors to us, providing a roof over our head and a bed to come back to after long hours in hospital.  It might not seem much but trust me it makes a real difference.  It allows us too concentrate out worry on our daughter and they take care of everything else. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff and to get "home" to caring supportive faces, food and bed makes huge differences.  Ronald McDonald became our surrogate family and I'll never be able to show enough gratitude to them.  We will never forget what they did for us.

I'm doing this for them to not only say thanks, but more importantly by supporting them we can make sure they can continue to provide other families with the support when they need it the most.

We were provided with personal items, snacks and meals (provided  by local companies). After a long day at the hospital we were always given the time by the lovely staff.

Please dig deep and help us hit our target!
