Story

Whether you know us or not....A message from Emily Janes:

"I was diagnosed with MND (Motor Neurone Disease) in June 2020 at the age of 60. I invite you to help us contribute to beating this cruel disease.

I was a teacher and specialist dyslexia tutor and assessor, with a lifelong love of walking and the great outdoors. The last big walk that Simon and I did together was to climb Pendle Hill in Lancashire.  We are Quakers so this is a special place to us as it is the site where George Fox had a vision which inspired him to found the Quaker movement.

I can no longer walk but I am as adventurous as ever.  With help from family, friends and Mountain Rescue volunteers they aim to get me to the summit of Pendle Hill again on Saturday 21st May."

The MND Association does brilliant work supporting people with MND and they also sponsor research into finding a cure for this disease.

Please show your support for Emily and the MND Association!

Funds raised will be divided 50/50 between the MNDA South Herts branch and the National MNDA.

THANK YOU!
