Story
On 29th March 2020, I will be running the London Landmarks Half Marathon in aid of Pancreatic Cancer UK.
Pancreatic cancer has the lowest survival rates of all common cancers, with five-year survival less than 7%. It is tough to diagnose, tough to treat, tough to research. But we can support those affected by the disease, by investing in ground breaking research, lobbying for greater recognition of pancreatic cancer and by being a voice for everyone involved in the fight.
In June 2019, my best friend lost her dad to Pancreatic Cancer after only being diagnosed a few months earlier. Seeing the unimaginable effect that this loss has had on her family has urged me to spread awareness of this horrible disease and the importance of giving support to those affected.
