Story
Hi guys, Its me Emily.
Thank you for taking the time to view my JustGiving page! Woah, I cannot believe a year has gone by since I did my 14 miles in 14 days walk! It was the hardest thing I ever had to face mentally and It was so overwhelming when I finished. I managed to raise over £120! Thank you everyone for your kind dontations. I know our money will have gone to the best possible use.Anyway, as things are improving, I thought it would be a good idea to step it up a notch! I am going to be attempting 28 miles in 14 days this time...on my bike! I still struggle with my mental health and other health problems but I have so much determination the word 'attempting' shouldn't come into this, I WILL be riding 28 miles in just 14 days! Now, this may sound easy, but .living out in the countryside near the quantock hills means its not always a flat route! Better get working on my leg muscles ey'! Anyway, joking aside, any money donated will be going to the best possible cause. Cancer is the biggest killer disease. Only 50% of people live 10 years or more. This is like saying 'if you stood two people with cancer next to one another, only one of them is likely to survive'. Shocking isnt it?
Although all anyone wants to do is cure cancer, it takes time, and money. Trial and error. It really is true that every penny counts. *For example* A piece of life saving research equiptment might cost £100,000. Donations have reached £99,999.9. That penny you found at the bottom of your bag, outside on the street, your loose change, that you put into that cancer research collection pot will be able to make the equipment affordable. And by doing that, YOU could save lives.
