HADRIAN WALL WALK · 30 September 2017

The Dusty Yak Foundation aims to relieve the poverty, advance the education and protect and preserve the health of orphans, neglected, impoverished and/or sick children in need in Nepal and elsewhere in the world suffering from such hardship and distress.

Story

A huge thank you for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Louis Morgan, Leo Ferrini, Arthur Hampel, Dario Holland, Dylan Gibbs and Torin Togher, all aged 9 and at Caldicott Prep School, along with younger brothers' George Morgan and Callum Togher (aged 8) are doing a sponsored walk with their families along Hadrian's Wall to raise money for the Dusty Yak Foundation.

On the 30th September and 1st October 2017 they will be walking for approx. 19 miles from Greenhead to Chester's Fort, staying overnight at The Sill Youth Hostel.

We are hoping to raise money for the "Dusty Yak Foundation” http://www.dustyyak.com which supports orphans and vulnerable children in Nepal, providing them with everything from housing, food, clothing and education.

The Dusty Yak set up their first orphanage “The Budhanilkantha Children’s home” recently to rehouse 11 girls who were orphaned and living in extreme poverty as a result of the earthquakes in Nepal. The children were found living in cramped and appalling conditions and were suffering from various medical problems including malnutrition. Devastatingly, some were suffering from abuse. Now at the home, the girls are accommodated in a secure environment, in a well equipped house where they have their own beds and proper bathrooms. There is a kitchen with dining area, living room and a classroom.

We will be directly raising money for the girls. Here’s a video message from them: https://youtu.be/4pDefZ_yiBk
