Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On the 26th May 2013 I am participating in the Bupa Great Manchester 10K Run. I am running in memory of my brother, Tristan and to raise as much money as I can for SADS UK (Sudden Adult Death Syndrome). As some of you already know, Tristan very suddenly passed away at home on the 25th August 2009. It was a tragedy that we as a family, will never come to terms with. Tristan was a happy, healthy, bubbly 19 year old and no explanation has ever been given for his death. I will be extremely grateful for any sponsor no matter how big or small.

Why SADS UK?

SADS UK donates cardiac equipment to save lives. Heart monitors and event recorders identify abnormal heart rhythms that must be treated. Defibrillators can restart the heart if a person suffers a cardiac arrest. The charity is encouraged by the lives that have been saved by the identification of abnormal heart rhythms and by the use of defibrillators they have donated to schools, sports clubs, and other organisations in the community. SADS UK supports research into Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
