Home-Start HOST is an organisation of trained volunteers and qualified staff, supporting families with young children through challenging times. They work across Tameside, Oldham, Stockport, Bolton and Glossop, supporting families with children under 5. There are many reasons families need support - from bereavement or financial challenges, to isolation or the additional pressure of health challenges. Home-Start offer practical and emotional support to parents in their own home, and provide activities and group settings to encourage new friendships and a safe space to grow. Home-Start is needed more than ever as the cost of living rises, making essentials into luxuries. Support helps ease this pressure and gives parents some much-needed headspace - time to feel like themselves and enjoy time with their children. The early years of a child's life have a huge impact.
