AMMF is the UK's only cholangiocarcinoma charity. Our main aims are to raise the awareness of cholangiocarcinoma (bile duct cancer), to provide information, and to support specialised research teams in their work to find the causes, methods of earlier diagnosis and treatments for this disease.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In April 2013 my dear Grandpa passed away from a cancer called 'Cholangiocarcinoma' - cancer of the bile duct. It was a relatively fast process and took all of us by surprise. He died just a month after diagnosis.

He was a fantastic Grandpa and a very inspiring man with stories that could hold the room's attention for hours. I realise he had these stories because he wasn't afraid of an adventure or a challenge. He lived a jam-packed life. I want to do the same.

AMMF is the only UK charity dedicated to this particular cancer. Many of Grandpa's family and friends have donated to AMMF, my little sister and cousin cycled from London to Paris in fact. It's time I did my bit. Just the smallest donation would mean the world to me and my family.

Now I'd better get training...
