I’m taking part in this marathon walk with my lovely friends from Dr Martens in memory of a very special person. Our friend Adam Ward who worked on our team passed away earlier this year due to cancer. He was only 42 incredibly fit and healthy and the most positive and inspirational person I think I know. He remained strong all the way through his battle but unfortunately it won and we lost him. Adam had a life long ambition to run the London marathon and against the advise not to from his doctors, he took on the challenge, and with stage 4 cancer he completed is dream and crossed the line with his girlfriend to a cheering crowd of supporters. He raised over £10,000 for Macmillan wanting to help the charity who had helped him, I’m sure you’ll agree he was an absolute legend. 

I think he would find the fact we’re all doing a marathon (even though walking it) incredibly funny, but in the words of Wardy we’ll be LIVING THE DREAM. If you can help me raise my £250 for Macmillan I would be incredibly grateful. Thanks Em x
