As a lot of you will know our friend Abby passed away almost two years ago. One day she was there, sat next to us in class, the next she was gone forever.

Abby was a beautiful daughter and bestfriend to her Dad Darren and Mum Alison most of all she was a kind and loving sister to Jess.  Abby was an amazing friend to many and was a beautiful young woman who had her whole life ahead of her.  She was a funny, kind, smart girl and whoever met her would always have a smile put on their face.

We want to do something to remember her on the two year anniversary, and to raise money for the charity that has helped her mum, dad and sister with coming to terms with the tragedy of her sudden death.

On March 20th 2021 therefore, we will be "walking a marathon" - 26.2 miles in order to raise money for the "2 Wish Upon A Star" charity.  They provided a huge amount of support to Abby's family in the aftermath of her tragic passing.  They provide immediate bereavement support for families, individuals and professionals who have suddenly and traumatically lost a child or young adult aged 25 years and under.

When a family loses a child or young adult the effects are devastating for all who knew and loved them. It is important that support is available if and when required.  It is important families know that they are not alone and that the feelings they are experiencing are often normal.

I know that the family will be thrilled with any amount that we can raise to help this amazing charity continue to help other families through devastating situations.
