I really admire the work Marie Curie do supporting people and their families through a time which I know from personal experience to be supremely difficult and emotional, and one that tests us all as human beings. Cancer is something that has directly affected my family and friends - we have lost some very important people. For those that are unable to continue to fight terminal illness, I know that the support Marie Curie provide is infinitely valuable and imperative, which is why I am proud to be attempting this challenge for them.

I will be funding the trek myself - I thought if I could raise some money to support a deserving charity along the way it will mean my efforts are directly benefitting others, as well as helping to motivate and keep me on track to succeed. Those that know me will know how out of my comfort zone this is, and turning 30 last year has spurred me on to attempt a real challenge, something I will need to be disciplined and dedicate myself to. I am excited to accomplish this in order to give back to such an amazing Charity.
