Alzheimer's Society - London 2 Brighton Challenge 2012 · 12 May 2012 ·

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

The London 2 Brighton Challenge is a 100k walk/jog/run (or in my case, walk/slow walk/crawl) and I will be taking part to raise money for the Alzheimer's Society.

I have been involved with this charity both personally and professionally and cannot begin to explain the amazing work that they do. The research they do enables people suffering from Dementia to receive the best person-centred care. The support and care that they provide improves the lives of Dementia sufferers and their friends and families. I have seen how Dementia can turn people's world upside-down and how charities such as the Alzheimer's Society can provide life changing support and information to help maintain health and independence and enable Dementia sufferers and their families to live happy lives.

Please donate via my Just Giving page which is really secure and easy to use. I need to raise a minimum total of £375 to take part in the challenge so please give generously to support such a worthwhile cause.
