Rowans Hospice provides end of life care across South East Hampshire. We help improve quality of life for the patient around the clock. We receive a very small level of Government support and almost all of the money required to provide our services needs to be raised through voluntary giving.

Story

My story is about a dear friend called Steve, who sadly lost his fight against cancer on the 24th August 2011, just aged 52

Steve was a true gent who was always smiling, he had such a presence about him that you could do nothing but like him.

A one-in-a-million guy, who will be remembered for all his tea drinking and biscuits experiments, short sleeves, cheeky smile, pranking (alongside with Ben Lim) and never quite grasping the rules of playing bingo! Words really cannot describe what a great guy he was, and how sorely missed he is by all that knew him!

I have decided to support The Rowans Hospice as this charity helped to give support to Steve and his family so that Steve could spend the remainder of his time at home comfortably and with his family around him just as he had wanted. Without the help of The Rowans Hospice Steve's family would not have been able to keep him at home.
