Story
Last year, I took on this challenge with my friend Zizi - it was at about the 10k mark, she received her stage 4 diagnoses. Three months later she was given her terminal diagnonses and in August of this year she died.
So this year, instead of swimming with Zizi, I am swimming for her and for everyone else living with Sarcoma today.
Sarcoma UK provides an invaluble resource for people living with sarcoma as well as thier friends and family.
I will be posting more regularly on my instragram so you can follow and give lots of encouragement there!
I am planning to do my swims in Brighton Sea Lanes and Pells Pool in Lewes - no indoor pools for me! 🥶

Thank you for visiting my page. I've chosen to complete the Swim for Sarcoma challenge, swimming 15km in 31 days for Sarcoma UK, a national charity that funds vital research, offers support for anyone affected by sarcoma cancer and campaigns for better treatments.
Sarcoma is a type of cancer that develops in the bone and soft tissue. It is difficult to diagnose and one of the hardest to treat. By supporting me, we can help change this. Your donation will help researchers find answers, keep the specialist Support Line open, and raise awareness to improve treatment and standards of care.
Your donations will go so far in helping the sarcoma community:
💙 £1 Could cover the cost of 12 texts to the support line.
🥼 £5 Could purchase 50 petri dishes, which researchers use to grow cells in the laboratory.
🔬 £30 Could fund one hour of use of a high-powered laboratory microscope.
Thank you for your support!
