Story

Last April myself and a group of friends decided that running the 2012 Bath Half Marathon was how we wanted to thank the charity Iain Rennie Hospice at Home for the support they gave to Chris Lake and his family in his last weeks. With the Iain Rennie nurse’s help, Chris was cared for at home, with his family and friends around him. The difference made by Chris being able to stay, surrounded by all the familiar comings and goings of his home was huge. So by spending time training, raising money and running the 13 miles seems only a small price to pay for the value their support gives to families’ last few weeks together.

I’m hoping to raise £500 for Iain Rennie, so any donation you are able to give would be fantastic. I’ve never been a regular runner, so what seemed to be a fun idea last April, with less than 2 months to go, now seems quite a huge challenge. However, I am training, and the more money raised, the more motivated I’ll be to get out there!

Finally, if you know the whole gang and you would rather give a group donation. Below is a link to Rosie Lake’s page, which is already raising money for Iain Rennie.

Thank you so much for giving this a read, it all helps!
