Emily Bell runs the Edinburgh Half Marathon for Save The Children

Edinburgh Marathon Festival Half 2019 · 26 May 2019 ·
I am running the 2019 Edinburgh Half Marathon on Sunday, May 26th for Save The Children!
Donations will be used to fight poverty, develop options for early childhood and primary education, and provide medical supplies and care to communities in need around the world. As a teacher-in-training, I am particularly passionate about the work Save The Children does to break down barriers to education that so many young people face. In 2017, they directly reached 9.7 million children through their global education programs. They work across five major areas: early childcare and development, basic education, school health and nutrition, education research and education in emergencies. Access to education is a human right and it is everyone's responsibility to ensure that each child is given the best chance to learn.
I would be so grateful for any contribution you might be able to make - every little bit helps. This is my first half-marathon and I am so excited to run for a cause!
