Brighton Marathon 2021 · 12 September 2021 ·

We are the UK’s leading ovarian cancer research charity. In the UK only 1 in 3 women live more than 10 years after diagnosis. We are working to better prevent, treat and detect ovarian cancer, so that by 2032 at least half of women with ovarian cancer live for 10 years.

Story

Sarah Capsey (Read)  and Sarah Fisher are running the Brighton marathon on the 12th September 2021, in loving memory of Amy Elizabeth Goacher, who sadly lost her hard fought battle to ovarian cancer in 2012. At only 21, her life was tragically cut short by the horrendous disease. She was a truly amazing person, who touched the lives of everyone she met, and continues to do so today. Since our loss, her family and friends have tirelessly worked to raise money to support research programmes into searching for a cure and more effective treatment options. Ovarian cancer is ranked fifth in cancer deaths among women, any donations could potentially save lives. Thank you.
