Tattoo For Sophie · 3 May 2014

Following the horrific murder of Sophie Lancaster, her family wanted to ensure a lasting legacy to their beautiful, bright creative daughter and so The Sophie Lancaster Foundation was established and it became a registered charity in 2009. We do this through various means including education.

Story

Sophie Lancaster was badly kicked & beaten, whilst cradling her boyfriend Rob (who had also been viciously attacked) on 11th August 2007.
After a scan revealed that Sophie's brain was "dead", her life support was turned off & she died in her mum's arms on 24th August 2007. Rob, after being in a coma, survived the injuries he sustained.
Sophie & Rob were attacked for nothing more than dressing "differently".
After Sophie's death, The Sophie Lancaster Foundation was set up to raise awareness of hate crimes. They are non-government funded & rely on people's donations to raise awareness & offer education in schools & colleges.
I am having a tattoo done in memory of Sophie Lancaster & every penny you donate, will go to The Sophie Lancaster Foundation which stands for:- Stamp Out Prejudice, Hatred & Intolerance Everywhere.
