Story

As many of you are already aware, our beautiful twins Isla and Ruby were born on the 12/12/16. When Isla was born there was quite a lot of confusion and worry about why Isla's skin looked the way it did. We where soon to find out Isla was born with Congenital melanocytic nevi and would need further investigations through scans of her brain and spine. Neither me or my husband had heard of CMN before so we were filled with fear and unsurety of our perfect precious tiny baby's future.

The day we found out our beautiful Smiler's condition was cosmetical, meaning she was otherwise fit and healthy, was one of the best days of our lives! This does not mean we are out of the woods as Isla still has challenges ahead of her and our mission is to support her and raise her to be proud to be different, and love the skin she is in.

I am not, and have never been, a runner so for me this personally is a huge challenge, way out of my comfort zone, but I'm going to give it my all and really push myself in the hope of raising funds for Caring Matters Now and awareness of Congenital melanocytic Nevi!
