Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As many of you will know, I sadly lost my fantastic dad to lung cancer at the begining of the year. He was a real gentleman and was loved by all that knew him. In his own words he had 72 wonderful years and just one bad one and he achieved many things and visited many places. One of his proudest achieviements was to climb Sydney Harbour Bridge, even at 71, he was probably the fittest of the group there.

He was not a smoker, walked approx 5 miles a day with his great horse of a dog, played golf 3-4 times a week and lived his life to the full. In the last 4 weeks of his life, he was admitted to the LOROS hospital, a fantastic completely self funded hospice which became his and our home from home. Nothing was to much trouble, his every need was catered for and the staff were compasionate and always available. The hospice costs 4 million pounds a year to run, all of which has to be achieved through fundraising, hence this walk. A truly amazing place and an example of how 4 million pound should be spent on health care.
