Climbing Out · 1 October 2022

Charity hike along Hadrian's Wall on Saturday 1st October, to raise funds for Climbing Out.

Story

I went on this 5 day Programme in May this year following the trauma I experienced of my daughters diagnosis of anorexia nervosa. Last year was awful, I really didn't think she would pull through this illness. She has made a recovery, but unfortunately the trauma left me in a very bad place.

I cannot praise the programme enough in helping me to deal with the trauma. I cant say im 100% perfect, but have made huge progress. Counselling and family therapy didn't work for me, but climbing out did.

For 12 years, Climbing Out has worked to rebuild confidence, self-esteem and motivation in people who have been through a life changing injury, illness or trauma. Empowering individuals to harness the adaptability innate to all human beings, we share the tools, experiences and inspiration which enable them to find a path forward. Our annual fundraising hike is a key event in our fundraising calendar. It is a joyful occasion for friends, supporters and past participants to share a challenge, have fund and raise funds.

Please give  a donation,  this is such an important charity and I really want to put back something as climbing out has helped me to rebuild my life, and start the recovery from trauma.
