Wing Walk · 1 August 2020

When patients in London suffer life-threatening injury, only our team can provide them with the help they need. With your support, we can perform complex procedures to save lives where others can’t. We can get there in time to make a difference and provide hope for the patient and their loved ones.

Story

The time has come again for me to raise money for the London Air Ambulance, so this year I will be doing a Wing-walk on 12th September 2020..

As you are all aware my brother Barty was tragically stabbed on 10/09/2016. That day, the London Air Ambulance Doctors arrived at the horrific scene and tried so hard to save him. Without their efforts my family and I would not have had the chance to say goodbye to him.
The doctors managed to stabilise Barty long enough to get him to the Royal London Hospital, where he was then worked on in theatre for another 11 hours.  Sadly Barty was just too tired and i watched him take his last breath as his life support was switched off at 3.36am on 11/09/2016.

In 2018 i did a skydive and managed to raise over £2000. Last year i took part in a gruelling 5k Spartan race and managed to raise £1250, smashing my target of £500!!
I wanted to choose something this year that would challenge me further, so i chose to do wing walking!! I would love to smash my previous fundraisers.

I am doing these fundraisers each year in memory of my Barty, in a bid to never ever let his name be forgotten. So please help me to give back to such an amazing charity by sponsoring me!!

Thank you
Love always from Emma and Barty xxxx
