We provide essential support and information to enable people with vestibular disorders to cope positively and get the right diagnosis. We are a voice for sufferers and raise awareness for greater understanding. We work towards a brighter future through investment in vital medical research.

Story

My mum has recently been diagnosed with Meniere's disease. This means that at any moment, with no warning, she can come over dizzy and experience attacks of vertigo. Sometimes these are so bad that she be violently sick. Other times, she can feel dizzy for a prolonged period of time.

Meniere's is a highly under researched disease. It's so unknown that doctors can only diagnose my ruling out other potential issue and diseases. There is no explanation as to what causes it, how to prevent it or even how to cure it.

By donating, you would be helping support this research to help understand this horrible disorder better.

The challenge?

I will be taking on my toughest challenge yet and will be running every event at the Edinburgh Marathon Festival - known as The Hairy. On the Saturday, I will be running 10k and then 5k. On the Sunday, I will run the half marathon, make the half hour journey back to the start and then run a full marathon. This is a total of 49 miles over the weekend.

Mum will be running the 10k and the 5k on the Saturday.
