With The first anniversary of Leo’s passing approaching, we have decided in his memory to raise money for RVI Tiny Lives, a charity very close to our hearts. 

Tiny Lives made a huge impact on our 4 month stay on Ward 35, we were helped both financially and emotionally, helping to pay travel costs to the RVI and also making our only Christmas together as perfect as can be. 

If you don’t know Leo, here is a small background on our soldiers story. Leo was born with a life threatening birth defect called “CDH” and was given less than 50% chance of surviving birth. We were prepared that we would only have a few hours with our boy, but he fought for 4 months. Leo had to battle through multiple surgeries, pulmonary hypertension, 1 functioning lung, sepsis and many more challenges. We became hopeful that Leo had beat his condition but at 4 months old he began to deteriorate, his small damaged lungs could not compete with the growth of his body and he passed away at 4 months old in the loving arms of myself (mam) and Clayton (his dad). 

With the challenges this year has brought, we cannot thank family and friends enough for the support both me and Clayton have received. Any donations in Leo’s memory is very appreciated and we hope to fundraiser more in the future🙏🏻
