The Highland Cross · 21 June 2014

Highland Cross is a 50 mile duathlon (walking or running 20 miles and cycling 30 miles) across Scotland from Kintail to Beauly. The event is organised by volunteers to raise funds for charities across the Highlands. Since 1983, over £6.3m has been raised and distributed in full to deserving causes.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On 21st June I'm taking part in the Highland Cross with my team mate Christine Gordon.

The Highland Cross is a 50-mile duathlon (20 miles on foot, 30 miles on bike) traversing the spectacular Scottish Highlands coast to coast, west to east from Kintail through Glen Affric and Strathglass to Beauly.

As most of my family and friends know: I am a sucker for arduous physical challenges!!

We are taking part to help raise funds for 5 fantastic charities based in the Scottish Highlands:

  • Beauly and District Care Project

  • Cheshire House Inverness

  • Shopmobility Highland

  • Blythswood Care

  • Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland

  • Skye and Lochalsh Young Carers
