Sonny has been home for 10 months and I love the normality this gives us and especially our boy. He's just amazing!

Sonny was in hospital for a total of 11 months and 11 days. We will never forget that during the toughest, most scariest time of our lives we had the comfort of a room across the road from the hospital. I could be with Sonny within minutes, but I could also go and have a lie down when needed and full night's sleep. Not to mention, tremendous support of staff. All of this was because of 'Ronald McDonald house charities'.

If this charity didn't exist, I would have had to travel back and forth while Sonny was on the NICU - 45 minutes each way. I don't go into much detail about how poorly Sonny was at times, but I struggled to leave to hospital grounds some days never mind go 45 minutes from him. The charity took away so much stress and anxiety for me. This is why we as a family will do our best in raising as much money for them as possible!

Sonny's Auntie Abi will be running 13.1 miles in the Cardiff half marathon in order to raise money for this wonderful charity! Sonny is so lucky to have an Auntie who is so brave and willing. This will also mean that another family will have a safe haven while their baby is poorly.
