So two weeks ago I went to Cheltenham Oncology Hospital to have my Iodine Radiotherapy treatment, I knew I would be there for maximum 5 days (luckily I was home after 3.) What ever I took into my room with me I couldn't take back out, as everything I touched would be radioactive. So I literally had to take bare essentials, that was something to get my head around let alone been restricted to seeing people. Anyway cut a long story short I did it and it wasn't as bad as I thought, the nurses and nuclear medicine team were great and looked after me and I actually enjoyed some time to myself. While I was there mum came up with an idea to help support my time in isolation for all our family and friends to do at least a day without social media, as I only had a Land Line, Television & DVD so no MOBILE PHONE, Facebook, snapchat, watts app etc etc.... every penny counts and I just want to help promote awareness of this rare cancer, and give back a little something to help other people now and in the future. Thank you & Lots of love Xx
