Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Emma was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma at 19 years of age. She had to endure surgery, months of chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Clic Sargent supported her and helped with costs for petrol to her daily treatment and new clothes after severe weight loss. Emma managed to continue her studies and graduated with her friends without any extensions. She has since worked for the NHS for 18 years and has not let her past illness get in her way, quite the opposite.
Despite being in remission Emma is still feeling the effects of the illness and associated surgery, having daily struggles with her breathing so this event will be the ultimate test...
This year Emma has been in remission for 20 years, she turns 40 and this is the 40th year for the GNR - if she doesn’t do it now she never will! Neil is also pledging his support to the charity to help Emma with training and getting over the line.. they may have to carry each other! She has gone on to have 2 amazing boys so there is a life after cancer.
Thank you for any donations - I am so keen to give back to the charity that gave us so much support and hope as a family going through one of the darkest times.
