If you don't know me, I'm Emma. I have incurable breast cancer. Secondary breast cancer. Metastatic breast cancer. Cancer that WILL kill me. 

I've been living with incurable breast cancer for over 5 years now, and only 20% of people with this disease live for 5 years after their diagnosis. So I feel incredibly lucky to have made it this far. My cancer was found early initially, but it still spread to other parts of my body, making it incurable. I've been in chemotherapy for over 5 years now. Treatment only stops when I die. 

30% of all primary breast cancers will become incurable. And 80% of those diagnosed with incurable breast cancer will die within 2-5 years of their diagnosis. 

And so, this September I will set out on a challenging, extraordinary and life-changing trek, all in the name of checking chests! 

Along with Gi Fletcher and some other famous faces, I will be taking on the a 5 day trek across mountainous terrain in the French Alps, in a bid to raise funds towards CoppaFeel's life-saving mission.

They are on a mission to stamp out the late diagnosis of breast cancer by making sure that young people are regularly checking their boobs, pecs and chests and getting to know their bodies in order to have the confidence to see their GP if something just doesn't feel normal.
