Emma's The Big Cut

Emma Gilson is raising money for Our Brave Knight
In memory of Cameron Clark

We started this journey in September 2013, after our own Brave Knight was 36th in Europe to be diagnosed with XIAP Deficiency. Unfortunately he lost his battle in May 2014. So as you can see this is a very rare condition, it's a genetic condition that only effects boys. It stops the immune system from working properly, so a common cold can become a matter of life or death. As well as the condition, the treatment for it is also life threatening. We want to raise money to fund any research to stop the treatment also being life threatening.

Story

For those of you that know me well will know how much I love having very long hair! Although it may sound shallow it gives me a confidence boost and distracts from the parts of my appearance that I dont like so much. So, I figured if having long hair does this for me then why not share it so a little boy or girl can have some hair back whilst going through one of the hardest battles of their little lives. Our own brave knight Cameron lost his hair when he was battling through his horrible illness; he was so brave about it and took it in his stride, like he did with everything he was faced with. If my hair can put a smile on a child's face during a time like that then I am happy to share!

Please donate as much as you can! All money raised will go to Our Brave Knight charity and my hair will be donated to Little Princess Trust.
