Story
Today (4.12.2020) marks the 6th anniversary into my journey with Multiple Sclerosis. There have been ups and downs but life is a rollercoaster for most people everyday anyway, the MS is just the extra surprise topping ,lucky me eh?
No two people diagnosed with MS have the same limitations, struggles, impairments or dare I even say positives. I know Positives I hear you say what can be positive about an incurable chronic disease?? Well I just need to look around at my close circle of friends and family who are there not only for me but for Ben and our two children. It isn't a disease that only effects the one diagnosed but snowballs to those around them too.
So if you are still reading this I want to let you know my Challenge to raise much needed funds for our local MS Society.
Yes I ran the GNR in 2017 and that was hard and I know I am not up to that type of challenge after my last relapse.
So......
This time for 2021, I am planning to complete the LYKE WAKE WALK, that is 40miles walking across the North Yorkshire Moors in under 24hrs!!
An update for 2021 is that over the Christmas and New year break I was admitted to hospital with complications from Covid-19. 4 day on full oxygen with IV fluids, steroids and antibiotics helped me to recover enough to return home to family. I have now in April 2021 been discharged rom hospital outpatient care, however it has taken a huge hit to my training for this challenge. xx
